Wire Straightening and Cutoff Machines - are a specialty for Pilot. We have designed and manufactured dozens of these kinds of machines to meet specific needs.
One model is called the PILOT SMARTSHEAR® Model SFCO. Some of these machines have been in operation for more than 20 years and continue to prove provide reliable service.
The PILOT SMARTSHEAR® Model SFCO is a fully automatic wire straightening machine with a built-in flying shear cutoff, capable of handling ferrous or non-ferrous wire from .006" to .030" diameter.
SYSTEM FEATURES...
- Two (2) counter rotating straightening arbors with adjustable operating speeds from 0 to 12,000 RPM.
- A variable speed tractor feed mechanism with a range of 0 to 240 inches/minute.
- Tension control on payoff reel.
- A programmable bushing to bushing flying shear cutoff for cutting burr-free wire lengths from 6 to 1000 inches with a tolerance of ± .020".
- Closed loop servo positioning of shear.
- A 100% solid state control panel with data terminal and display, (3) digital panel meters with 10-turn potentiometers for indicating and infinitely adjusting arbor and feed speeds, power on/off switches and indicator, mode selector switch, fault indicator, run/stop switch, and manual shear and jog switches for the shear head.
